What are the responsibilities and job description for the Allergy RN or LPN ( 4 days a week) position at Palouse Specialty Physicians?
This position is 4 days / week; days are M / T / Th / F.
Wage is based on RN or LPN licensing and allergy experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Allergy Testing
- Perform allergy testing and allergy immunotherapy injections
- Educate patients on allergy and immunotherapy, interpret allergy results
- Set up instruments and equipment according to department protocols
- Clean and sterilize according to requirements and maintenance program
- Manage and update charts to ensure complete information
Patient Services
- Provide general patient care responsibilities as assigned that may include checking schedules and organizing patient flow
- Prepare cost estimates for allergy testing and educate patients accordingly
- Accompany patients to exam/procedure room; assisting patients as needed with walking transfers, dressing, collecting specimens
- Collect and review patient history; perform screenings per provider guidelines
- Relay instructions to patients/families; answering calls, and provide pertinent information.
- Respect and promote patient rights
- Respond appropriately to emergency codes
- Refer patient feedback to appropriate staff, when required
