Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Along with the duties listed above the Level II Material Handler is responsible for the following duties:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Unloads and loads all types of vehicles, e.g. box truck and flat bed
- Counts materials with accuracy
- Identifies the materials using part numbers
- Examines the receiving documents to ensure that the product was an authorized purchase
- Performs incoming inspection of raw materials
- Moves the materials to the designated storage areas and properly physically puts away materials
- Enters receipt transactions into SAP and verifies pack-list to purchase order
- Cycle counts inventory weekly to maintain accurate inventory
- Ensures clear and clean pathways to and form all outside and inside exits on the production floor daily
- Supplies production area with materials
- Documents information related to the material handling of goods, e.g. damages and etc.
- Issues raw material to production and performs location transfers in SAP accurately and timely
- Operates a forklift or similar material handling equipment to move or stack materials
- Counts and tags material accurately prior to material handling
- Organizes and maintains a clean work area
- Responsible to perform other duties and activities as directed
Along with the duties listed above the Level II Material Handler is responsible for the following duties:
- Follows safe manufacturing and material handling practices
- Understands and adheres to manufacturing practices
- Understands and adheres to the employee handbook policies
- Follows written and verbal details to complete assignments or jobs
- Masters use of all required equipment and hand devices
- Understands and demonstrates the 6 core behavioral expectations of Communication, Motivated, Responsible, Dependable, Inquisitive, and Accountability
- Performs cycle counts with no supervision
- Performs cycle count reconciliations, physically and systematically
- Monitors and maintains supplies
- Trains entry-level material handlers to Level B
- Performs problem solving and troubleshooting
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Certified fork truck driving with at least one year of experience
- Experienced moving at least 1,000 lbs. or more with a fork truck
- Possesses the ability to operate a bander, shrink wrapper, forklift, tape measures, and calipers
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills
- Performs all duties in conjunction with ISOX and ISO requirements
