Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and replace faulty machine components such as motors, drives, and PLC controls.
- Assist maintenance personnel with repair of a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Plan and install the necessary wiring for installation of new equipment.
- Plan and perform preventive maintenance on electrical distribution system.
- Complete all work in accordance with the National Electrical Code.
- Keep electrical drawings organized and up to date.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines
- Responsible to perform other duties and activities as directed
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- 5 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Electrician in a production environment
- Must have knowledge of 480 Volt 3 Phase distribution systems.
- Must have knowledge of industrial electrical/equipment installations.
- Proficient with Siemens communications and control
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical problems that arise
- Must be able to troubleshoot AC and DC drives and control systems.
- Must be familiar with PLC controls. PLC programming skills a plus.
- Possess a working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
- Computer skills in such programs as Microsoft office and outlook a plus
- Have knowledge in technical drawings and the ability to interpret said drawings.
- Ability to work a 12 hour Shift
- Must be independent in the ability to do any equipment changeover throughout plant
- Ability to perform the physical aspects of maintenance work
- Continuous standing, occasional bending
- Ability to operate moving fork trucks
- Climbing ladders up to 50 feet
- Occasional overhead lifting
- Occasional lifting up to 100 lbs. knee to waist
- Vision ability including close, distance, and peripheral
