Job Summary
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is an integral member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and support services under the guidance of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
In this role, you will perform various patient care activities, including vital sign checks, medication administration, and accompaniment to appointments. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care activities within established protocols and guidelines.
- Assist with vital sign checks, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Accompany patients to appointments and procedures.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit.
