Job Summary
The PCT is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health.
Responsibilities:
- Perform various patient care activities such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with daily living tasks.
- Provide accommodative services to patients, including answering questions, communicating with nurses and doctors, and escorting patients to appointments.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
We seek candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent and current BLS certification. A minimum of two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
