The Assistant Chief Nursing (ACNO) will support the Chief Nursing Officer in the leadership and management of nursing operations. PAM Health Specialty Hospital located in Reno, NV is a 24 bed Critical Care Hospital providing acute care services to patients recovering from serious illnesses or injuries. Often our patients require additional critical care services for medically complex conditions such as trauma, infectious diseases, wound healing, cardiovascular disease, stroke, amputation and ventilator weaning. Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety of the nursing unit(s)/hospitals.
- Direct all nursing service activities for the hospital assigned by making recommendations for staff/patient ratios, by maintaining a system to determine and provide adequate staff for provision of appropriate nursing care, by serving as a liaison between staff and administration, by promoting productivity of staff, by developing and implementing policies and procedures for nursing service in compliance with PAM Health system policies and procedures and accreditation standards.
Qualifications
- Must possess RN licensure in good standing in the state where the hospital resides.
- ICU/Critical Care experience preferred.
- Bachelor degree preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical nursing experience is required and three (3) years of experience in nursing management is preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS required.
