Responsibilities:
As a Community Coach, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting individuals with all aspects of self-actualization and community integration. Duties will vary by shift and include:
- Providing personalized support, encouragement, motivation, and respect to individuals.
- Assisting with work and social activities, personal hygiene, meal time supports, money management, and behavioral needs.
- Transporting participants to and from community-based activities as per daily schedules. Get PAID to go the movies! bowling! museums!
- Documenting data to reflect what you did for the day.
- Supporting participant engagement in program planning and activities as per coordinated calendars.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills when interacting with clients and support teams.
- Completion of a TB evaluation indicating the absence of communicable Tuberculosis.
- Successful completion of a federal background check and State of Virginia Central Registry check.
- Current certification in CPR and First Aid and Therapeutic Options is a requirement before supporting individuals.
- Ability to interact professionally and supportively with families.
- Flexibility to work various hours and shifts.
- Valid driver’s license is REQUIRED, along with access to your own vehicle for work-related purposes. PAMCO Care provides mileage reimbursement while you are working with clients.
- Maintaining an active telephone number for assignment communication.
