What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Driver position at PAMDC?
Overview:
PAMDC has opportunities for Drivers – Adult Day Center / Shuttle Driver Special Needs
Responsibilities as a Driver / Shuttle Driver include:
- Driving a 15 passenger van, while ensuring participants are transported safely
- Assisting participants with on- and off-boarding and with any special needs during transport.
- Ensuring the company vehicle is “ready” at all times: sparkling clean and free from obstacles as well as in good working condition, reporting any issues promptly.
Qualifications:
As a Driver / Shuttle Driver qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Minimum three (3) years with a valid driver’s license as well as state/vehicle-specific driver credentials
- You will need to be able to:
- Ability to safely drive a 15 passenger van
- Prior experience working with seniors and/or adults with mental health diagnosis is helpful
- Pass a required physical exam including a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
- Receive successful results of a background check and Motor Vehicle Report (“MVR”)
- Receive clear pre-employment drug test results
