Balanced Dog Trainer

Overview
We are seeking a experienced and dedicated Balanced Dog Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of canine behavior and training techniques, with the ability to work effectively with dogs of all breeds and temperaments. This role involves not only training dogs but also educating their owners on effective training methods, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their families. We do not train aggressive dogs.

Duties

• Develop and implement training programs tailored to individual dog needs and owner goals.
• Conduct one-on-one training sessions and group classes, focusing on obedience, socialization, and behavior modification.
• Assess each dog's behavior and progress, adjusting training techniques as necessary.
• Provide guidance to pet owners on proper handling, care, and training practices.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for both dogs and clients during training sessions.
• Keep accurate records of each dog's progress and communicate updates to owners.
• Use POS system for payments.
• Schedule training/book appointments

Skills

• 2 years' experience training dogs in a profesional environment
• Experience/knowledge in basic computer skills
• Comfortable with public speaking
• Ability to obtain AKC CGC Certification
• Experience in kennel management or pet care is highly desirable.
• Proficient in animal handling, ensuring the safety of both dogs and trainers.
• Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with clients.
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
