Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced QA Lead with a strong background in both manual and automated testing to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in financial services and a proven track record in leading QA efforts for complex software systems. As the QA Lead, you will manage test strategies, drive test automation initiatives, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of QA testers (manual and automated) to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web-based and financial applications.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure software quality standards and deliverables are met.
- Identify, document, and track defects, providing detailed defect reports and working closely with developers to resolve issues.
- Drive the automation testing efforts using industry-standard tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, QTP, TestComplete, etc.).
- Manage test execution for all test phases, including functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT.
- Ensure testing efforts meet the compliance and regulatory requirements of the financial services industry.
- Conduct root cause analysis of defects and recommend process improvements for software development and testing.
- Review and evaluate test coverage to ensure that all functionalities are tested adequately.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper documentation of testing activities, including test cases, test scripts, and test results.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in manual and automated testing, with at least 4 years in a leadership or mentoring role.
- Strong background in financial services and understanding of banking systems, financial transactions, or related applications.
- Proficiency with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP, etc.) and experience in writing and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Extensive experience with manual testing techniques, including functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams (Scrum, Kanban).
- Solid understanding of SDLC and QA methodologies.
- Expertise in defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Quality Center, TestRail).
- Experience working with databases and writing SQL queries for validation and data extraction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and lead testing efforts.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter) is a plus.
- Financial services or regulatory compliance experience is highly preferred.
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
