Under the direction of the Sr. HR Business Partner, the HR Generalist supports the operational HR team and collaborates with others to provide day-to-day HR services, HRIS/Workday function, and provides support to employees and management. The role will also support the administration of employment visas.

Under the direction of the Sr. HR Business Partner, the HR Generalist supports the operational HR team and collaborates with others to provide day-to-day HR services, HRIS/Workday function, and provides support to employees and management. The role will also support the administration of employment visas.
Essential Functions
HR Duties:
- Provides high quality service and advice to employees and management as it relates to Human Resources policies, procedures and programs, organizational structure, employee relations matters, and performance and talent management
- Drives successful implementation and adoption of Human Resources programs and initiatives
- Processes full cycle employment-related transactions in Workday from job requisition to termination/offboarding, and carries out related out-of-system duties and coordination
- Promotes the organization’s values, objectives and interests, ensuring quality in all areas
- Contributes to projects as needed, meeting project objectives, project completeness and timeliness factors, and successful implementation and adoption
- Manages operational processes, including reviewing performance documentation and letters for employee relations cases
- Support the Senior HR Business Partners with employee relations and performance management issues with good judgment and discretion
- Collect, report, and synthesize people data for the groups the Business Partners support
- Take ownership of specific client groups and projects as directed by the Senior HR Business Partners
- Build relationships and trust with individual contributors, leaders, and managers
- Maintain strict confidentiality to ensure confidence in the organization and the human resources function
- Leads HRIS administration via Workday
- Creates data metric reports via Workday Discovery Boards for the department
- Monitors the Workday Inbox for tasks to be completed
- Creates custom reports for the department from Workday data and external data
- Liase with internal Workday Support to advise on Human Resources needs, contribute to system enhancements, and resolve processing issues
- Assists HR Partners with Workday procedural tasks
- Audits Workday to ensure data integrity
- Proactively drives data quality initiative in Workday
- Supports I-9 File maintenance and compliance and E-Verify
- Drives projects that ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations
- Manage day-to-day administration of employment visas and supporting foreign national employees in collaboration with legal and immigration counsel
- Responsible for Policy maintenance to ensure HR policies are up to date
- Keeps up-to-date with HR trends
- Participates in HR projects and initiatives, focusing on design and implementation to meet project goals
- Support Engagement Team events
- Delivers on ad-hoc requests
- Supports the recruiting and onboarding of candidates and new hires.
- Assists with reporting, analytics and presentation preparation as needed
- Supports the performance and talent management functions as needed
- Conducts certain administrative tasks as needed
- Supports the Human Resources Department as an active and value-added team player
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or any other related field.
- 2 to 4 years in an HR role with multi-state experience.
- Working knowledge of employment law and best practices
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
- Experience in HRIS administration, Workday strongly preferred
- Experience in employment visa knowledge and compliance preferred
- Experience working cross-functionally with demonstrated collaboration and communication.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in advanced Excel skills
- Proactive, self-driven and service oriented with focus on helping people
- Skillfully act as a trusted and neutral advisor, navigating complex or ambiguous situations and guiding conflict resolution
- Ability to objectively analyze a situation by gathering and organizing information, assessing cause and effect relationships, and recommending potential solutions
