Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Technician – Level 4 with a background in quality inspection process to join our team at Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America (PECNA). As a Quality Technician - Level 4, you will report to the Quality Supervisor and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper day-to-day execution of quality objectives, enhance product quality, and contribute to the success of the world's largest lithium-ion battery initiative. The Quality Technician – Level 4 will work together with the Operations, Engineering and Maintenance in resolving bugs, defects, and other potential issues and ensuring that products meet customer specifications.

The Quality Technician – Level 4 will work together with the Operations, Engineering and Maintenance in resolving bugs, defects, and other potential issues and ensuring that products meet customer specifications.
Essential Duties
- Lead effective and timely containment actions and treatment of nonconforming materials, utilizing Python scripts, Foundry or other data visualization tools.
- Engage in quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality, process improvements or reducing defects.
- Provide direction and support as required for QA Inspectors and Operators in quality improvement projects.
- Establish basic process alarms utilizing Python scripts and Foundry.
- Lead quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality, process improvements or reducing defects.
- Lead hands-on training of inspectors to improve overall proficiency.
- Lead QA Inspectors and Technicians for proper implementation of quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Independently execute product and process audits as required Communicate with different levels of the organization (horizontally and vertically) to resolve quality related issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Support proper implementation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications. Operate and maintain tools and equipment within functional area
- Ensure area cleanliness and 6S standards are met.
- Ability to train others at same or lower level within functional area.
- To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees’, wearing PPE is a possibility and includes equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator. Pre-employment respirator fit test will be required based on functional area.
Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Education Required:
- High school diploma, GED or 2 years of prior experience in functional area Essential
- Minimum of 4.5 years of related work experience.
- Basic knowledge of programming scripts, data visualization tools and Foundry AI platforms.
- Basic understanding of Engineering Principles. Capability to translate technical terminologies and concepts into layman’s term and ability to train non-technical team members.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience as a QA Technician – Level 3 with strong understanding in corrective actions and containment actions or equivalent previous work experience.
- Six-sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement project experience.
