Responsibilities
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Sales Forecasting & Analysis
- Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts based on historical data, market conditions, and sales trends.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and accuracy in sales projections.
- Perform deep-dive analysis of sales performance, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas of concern.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales strategies and meet growth objectives.
- Assist in the creation and execution of sales plans, aligning with business objectives and customer demands.
- Support senior management in setting sales targets, budgets, and KPIs.
- Analyze competitor performance, market conditions, and industry trends to inform strategic planning.
- Manage and maintain sales databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and market conditions for leadership.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations for key stakeholders, enabling effective decision-making.
- Work closely with sales, global planning, marketing, business division, and accounting teams to ensure smooth execution of sales plans.
- Support sales teams with insights into customer needs, market dynamics, and potential growth opportunities.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve operational efficiency and sales effectiveness.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive threats within the automotive sector.
- Continuously evaluate and improve sales planning processes, systems, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field. Advanced degree or certification (e.g., MBA, APICS) is a plus
- 5 years of experience in sales planning, data analysis, or sales operations, or related roles within the automotive industry or a similar manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of sales data and market analysis
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Proficient in Salesforce, and other sales planning or analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and KPI management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present data and insights clearly to leadership and cross-functional teams
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement in sales processes
- Understanding of the automotive market landscape, including trends, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
