Responsibilities
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Establishes and/or assists in the establishment of goals and objectives for department or area of responsibility.
- Plans and coordinates organizational activities, establishing priorities and sequences to meet the designate goals and objectives.
- Evaluates routings & Bill of Materials (BOMs) to develop & establish standard costs & standard rates
- Interprets and enforces Company policies, procedures, and regulations. Participates in the development of company policy, mainly for the issues related to inventory, trade payable, and model cost management. Administers approved accounting procedures throughout the company
- Assists in the development of a forecast and budgeting process within SAP
- Responsible for conducting periodical self-audits of internal systems and procedures and cooperating with internal auditors to improve systems soundness and efficiency.
- Assists in the accuracy of inventory control through overseeing the maintenance of inventory ledgers and physical inventory procedures.
- Develops reports within SAP to provide management with periodic analysis of profit/marginal profit by model, costs and the aging and turnover of product inventory.
- Establishes and maintains timelines to measure and track progression for accounting led projects.
- Conducts special accounting studies, analysis, and reports for top management. Providing explanations of cost by model, P/L by customer and by product category, and inventory.
- Assists senior management in making day-to-day operating decisions and offers advice on various aspects of Company management.
- BS/BA Degree in a related field.
- Five (5) years related Cost Accounting experience required.
- Three (3) of the required years must be using an ERP system (SAP) and have experience with Bill of
- Material (BOM) and Routings.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Some demonstrated leadership ability required.
- Previous project leadership experience preferred.
- Proficiency with PowerPoint or other presenting tool to make presentations to management.
