Job Summary
This is a unique opportunity to join Panasonic Corporation as an Avionics Technical Specialist. In this role, you will provide on-site technical support for our In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) and Global Communication Services (GCS) products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to maintenance staff on IFE GCS installation and maintenance activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving system issues, working with internal teams and external partners as needed.
- Execute tasks generated by the Panasonic Ticketing system, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Monitor and support tasks assigned to station, coordinating new system introductions and customer entry into service requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting, utilizing knowledge of cross-functional departmental processes and service provider services that impact overall system performance.
- Collaborate with the Service Program Manager to address program schedule commitments and potential impacts or changes.
- Develop and maintain IFE GCS system performance reporting criteria for stakeholders.
- Interface with contracted MRO staff, Product Safety Officer, and QA personnel on matters concerning air safety.
- Represent Panasonic's Maintenance and Support organization to customers.
- Communicate and interface with relevant departments, primarily for production-related processes and various Panasonic departments.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Demonstrated experience in aircraft avionics, possibly with satellite communications and network troubleshooting.
- A solid understanding of engineering applications for technical communications and training purposes.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of electronic and troubleshooting principles, acquired through commercial aviation, military experience, or technical school education combined with minimum 8 years of related industry experience.
- Ability to work in high-stress environments and make decisions with moderate to diverse scope.
- Familiarity with global civil aviation regulations and requirements, such as EASA and FAA.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to convey complex technical information effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
