Job Summary
The Production General Manager, reporting to the VP of Operations, is responsible for leading a full Business Unit and respective leadership teams. The Production General Manager is a key member of the PECNA Senior Leadership Team.
Essential Duties
- Lead all areas of the respective business unit and drive continuous improvement to exceed all business goals and objectives.
- Be seen as a key champion of the Seven Panasonic Values and PECNA High Performance Culture (HPC).
- Personify servant leadership, listening genuinely to needs for support and responding with urgency to remove obstacles and to facilitate team success.
- Drive collaboration between other business units and support teams as needed to achieve business goals.
- Empower, develop, and grow individuals and teams for performance and growth.
- Manage, develop, and lead all budget planning and execution for the business unit.
- Drive Continuous Improvement activities to maintain business competitiveness.
- Develop robust Succession Planning for current and future leadership needs.
- Guarantee Safety for all employees using behavioral based processes partnered with state-of-the-art technologies to identify and effectively mitigate risks.
- Support all Quality Initiatives and programs including maintaining ISO 9000 Certification.
- Partner with Maintenance and Engineering teams to ensure line efficiencies by reducing reactive maintenance activities and supporting planned preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Support Engineering and Quality programs for product improvements, equipment installations or other critical line trials.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements
- To ensure the health and safety in the workplace and for the protection of our employees, wearing PPE is a possibility and may include equipment such as a full Tyvek suit, safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, face mask, bump cap, and a full hazmat suit that includes a respirator.

Qualifications
Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Education
- Basic/Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 6 years of directly leading other professionals in a manager capacity in the manufacturing environment.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Science focused in Engineering, Organizational Development or Manufacturing.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a high speed/high volume manufacturing setting.
- Prior experience as a Plant, Operations or Senior Production Manager managing 250 employees.
- Lean Six Sigma and/or continuous process improvement experience.
- Understanding of OEE concepts.
- 6S implementation experience.
- Excellent communication (spoken and written) skills, including the ability to explain and present technical information.
- Proficient skills in MS Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Outlook).
- Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
