A/V Product Engineer

Overview

PPNDA is Seeking a Product Engineer that will specialize in Projection, Displays and Visual System product lines and look after it technically to support Sales Engineering and Sales Team. The role will center around performing new product evaluations using industry accepted practices, communicates with development team to resolve design issues. As well as, working with 3rd party products and services that will help PPNDA offer better products and solutions.
Responsibilities

What You'll Get to Do:

Customer Support

• Analyze, test, and provide solutions for customer request and issues related to hardware and software.
• Analyze customer requirements to recommend the most appropriate Panasonic solution.
• Assist in pre-sales meetings with on-site technical assistance across verticals as required.

Technical Support

• Assist in training on new products to bring up the technical knowledge level of sales members and sales engineers.
• Provide technical assistance to support end user, field service as needed.
• Support PPNDA Design team in meeting customer requirements and resolving issues through fact based analysis.
• Work under direction of Lead Engineer and Senior product engineer to assist in product evaluation & improvement.
• Escalation of tier 2 technical Support to assist end user and service engineering dept.

Quality Assurance

• Perform compatibility tests of engineering samples under supervision of Lead Engineer and Senior Engineer.
• Inspection of engineering samples and mass production to assure products meet standards.

Additional tasks

• Support product demonstrations using hands-on integration as well as product value propositions through verbal, written and visual communication.
• Use of PPNDA resources to insure Sales objectives are effectively supported in a cost-effective manner.
• Creates presentations on particularly unique applications to provide new approaches to sales channel stakeholders and customers, also presentations on competitive product weaknesses. Creates product training documents on new and existing products and software. Provide technical support and training to internal engineering and sales personnel.

What You Will Bring:

Education & Experience:

• Preferred B.S. Degree in the following areas: Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or AV/IT Engineering, Information Systems or similar
• 3-5 years experience in Audio/Visual live events or installation.
• Experience in Projection uses, repair and maintenance.
• Excellent knowledge of Live Production, Installation and Immersive experiences.

Problem Solving:

• Demonstrated results-orientation, an eye for quality.
• Attention to details with a strong track record of delivering results according to project schedules, with minimal oversight.

Communications:

• Proficient in verbal communication skills including presentation to large audiences
• Ability to develop and foster collaborative working relationships with the customer, project managers and team members.
• Ability to effectively present information to team members, cross department, customers and prospects.

Other Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment with minimal day-to-day direction.
• Ability to travel 50%

The salary range below is just one component of Panasonic Connect's total package. Actual compensation varies depending on the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience. This role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives.

Salary Range

$75,000 -$115,000 Bonus REQ-151022
