The Position:

JOB SUMMARY

Document Control Analyst implements and maintains advanced change orders for product improvements, repairs, and new product development.  Interfaces with Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Operations, and Marketing Departments to ensure appropriate changes are documented.  Maintains change orders, data from regulatory agencies, configuration progression, and third-party documents in internal archival system for ease of use and regulatory compliance.
Provides technical and process assistance to Engineers and internal company departments for proper document format and writing procedures.  


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES.


Change Orders 
• Creates, maintains, and processes change orders, stop orders, notices, and requests.
• Researches product change impacts to ensure that all products affected are identified and any issues resolved prior to the documents being finalized within documentation management system.
• Creates and verifies part numbers for documents in conformance to internal and regulatory compliance.  
• Communicates changes to appropriate internal departments.
• Reviews documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency of document format.
• Ensures documents meet standards for production. 
Technical Support
• Supports and assists subject matter experts with document management system and record management procedures in order to conform to defined formats.
• Conducts periodic internal audits to ensure that procedural documentation complies and provides support during corporate audits.
• Guides engineers in FAA requirements and regulations.
• Guides and trains new and lower level Document Control Analyst in department procedures and assignments.
 
Reporting
• Prepares process and status reports for immediate Supervisor.
• Participates in internal Change Review Board. 
Administrative Support
• Updates logs and databases.
• Maintains archival activities for controlled documents including engineering drawings, project report specifications, product proposals, and documentation.   
• Participates in special project as assigned. 
 

 

The salary or hourly wage range of $44,000 – 80,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements. 

 

What We’re Looking For:


KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

 

 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical writing skills.
• Strong knowledge of Agile PLM system
• Some technical writing skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and to work collaboratively with company employees at all levels and diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to multitask and apply priority to projects with adaptability and urgency while meeting timelines.
• Ability to work independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
• Ability to effectively follow procedures and work instructions.  
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
• Must have basic understanding of standard operating procedures.
• Knowledge of FAA/ISO regulatory requirements. 
• Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
• Normally receives little instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing or equivalent.

• 4-6 years experience working in a technical, compliance-oriented environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This means that there is no fixed number, range, or limit to the amount of Personal and Vacation Days that may be taken for exempt employees. Non-exempt hourly employees accrue 14 vacation days per year 7 sick days 3 personal days. Accrual rate increases with tenure. All employees receive 11 company paid holidays per year. We also close our offices at the corporate level in the U.S. between Christmas and New Year. For operational positions that are expected to work on holidays, we provide additional compensation for hours worked.
