$200,000 per year to $250,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Light Iron’s management and Panavision technology teams in business and technology planning for the company, defining goals, milestones, operating plans, and deliverables as required (e.g. annual operating plan, Capex forecasting, asset utilization, etc.)
- Develop the strategic roadmap for Light Iron’s technology stack, including vision for infrastructure and applications and how the asset base will be leveraged by the company to meet and exceed operating objectives
- Efficiently deploy and manage Capex and Opex investment against approved, roadmapped deliverables
- Define and manage team execution of deliverables within a dynamic, trackable framework, prioritizing and allocating resources and investment according to the ongoing needs of the Company
- Direct the company’s Engineering and other technology operations departments in managing the infrastructure and equipment in each of Light Iron’s facilities (LA, NY, ATL, NOLA, ABQ and future locations), including the remote dailies deployments and collaboration (color review) systems
- Develop and document team knowledge base and know-how by demonstrating leadership, expertise, and best practices in the day-to-day management of core systems and resources, including, but not limited to:
- IT / Engineering infrastructure
- Network
- Machine Room / Network Operations Center (NOC)
- Online editing / conform / color correction
- Theaters / bays
- Remote and onsite Dailies, archive, and verification systems
- Offline editorial systems
- Post production application stack
- Manage and oversee security audits for all Light Iron locations
- Manage the in-house software development and application product team. This will include setting milestones for the development of various products and collaborating with Panavision’s Application Development team
- For executive management’s consideration and approval, work with team to author requirements and /or investment justifications if and when upgrades / additions to the network, infrastructure, and application suite are necessary
- Oversee all significant equipment upgrades, installations, testing, and general maintenance, delegating responsibilities to Engineering team and / or technology operations staff as appropriate
- Develop and staff on-call after hours coverage for emergency support
- Work in a consultative fashion with every major department in the company, such as Production, Sales, Operations, and Corporate IT, as an advisor of technologies that may improve their efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with technology counterparts within other Panavision business units
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with outside company manufacturers and vendors
- Research technological innovations to determine potential for implementation; allocate time for off-site training and product demonstrations
- Participate in planning/creation/exhibition of Company programming, seminars, and webinars
- Represent the Company at industry events, panels, and presentations
- Act as a good steward of the Company’s resources, ensuring control of departmental budgets, as well as planning for short-term and long-term needs
- As required, recruit Engineering and technology operations talent and foster staff development
- At least 15 years’ experience in the Entertainment Information Technology arena, or equivalent, with at least 10 years leadership experience in Post Production and/or a related digital/technology space
- Firsthand point-of-view of the Entertainment ecosystem and industry trends
- Deep understanding of video technologies, applications, systems, workflows, networks, infrastructure, etc
- Hands on background with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) and can develop team to technically support
- Technical and operational know-how to leverage, configure, and manage / oversee use of AWS platform and identity and security services
- Knowledge and a point of view as to technology developments/evolution, and how the company can exploit
- Innovation minded, with an entrepreneurial approach to incubating and proving out new technology opportunities
- Ability to actively communicate, inspire and motivate all levels of staff
- Proactive and appropriately reactive
- Strong technical, analytic, business writing, and presentation skills
- Experienced in budget development / management, and business planning
- BS (minimum) in related field
