Position Summary:
The Dentist is responsible for providing high-quality dental care, including diagnosing, treating, and preventing oral health issues. This role involves conducting comprehensive dental exams, performing a variety of procedures such as fillings, root canals, and extractions, and developing personalized treatment plans for patients. The Dentist also educates patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care. In addition to delivering clinical care, the role includes maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring a sterile and safe environment, and staying up-to-date with advancements in dental technology. Strong communication, manual dexterity, and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough dental exams and assessments of patients' oral health.
- Diagnose dental issues such as cavities, gum disease, and other oral conditions.
- Perform a variety of dental procedures including fillings, crowns, extractions, root canals, and preventive care.
- Develop personalized treatment plans for patients and discuss their options.
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, diet, and preventive care to promote long-term dental health.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment histories.
- Ensure the sterilization and proper maintenance of all dental tools and equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists, and other staff to ensure a positive and efficient patient experience.
- Stay current with advancements in dental practices, technology, and treatment methods.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong proficiency in performing a wide range of dental procedures such as cleanings, fillings, extractions, crowns, root canals, and preventive treatments.
- Ability to diagnose and treat dental conditions accurately and efficiently.
- Skilled in the use of dental tools and equipment, ensuring safe and effective treatment delivery.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills to perform intricate dental procedures with precision and care.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly explain procedures, treatment options, and preventive care to patients.
- Ability to build rapport with patients, making them feel comfortable and well-informed.

Education/Experience:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
- Valid state licensure to practice dentistry.
- Experience with a wide range of dental procedures is preferred but not required.
