Position Summary:
Overseas and manages the scheduling of health technicians across multiple schools, ensuring consistent staffing for all health services. Works to ensure that health technicians deliver high-quality support to students and staff, upholding a standard of care. In addition, provides direct support within school health services as needed, stepping in to cover shifts during absences or peak demand periods. This position requires exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage the daily operations of school health services, ensuring students receive the necessary care. The ability to adapt to evolving needs and efficiently coordinate staffing is crucial to the department's success.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule Management: Oversee and manage the scheduling of health technicians across multiple schools, ensuring all health services are properly staffed at all times.
- Staff Support: Monitor and provide guidance to health technicians, ensuring they deliver high-quality, effective care to students and staff in compliance with health protocols.
- Hands-On Assistance: Provide direct support by stepping in to assist with school health services as needed, particularly during staff absences, peak demand periods, or other staffing gaps.
- Operational Efficiency: Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of school health services by coordinating staff, resources, and schedules, while maintaining a focus on meeting the health needs of students and staff.
- Problem-Solving: Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address scheduling conflicts, resolve staffing issues, and adapt to unexpected changes in health service demands.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with school administrators, health technicians, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure health services are effectively delivered and that any issues are promptly addressed.
- Staff Training & Development: Ensure that health technicians are well-trained, up-to-date on best practices, and informed about the latest health and safety guidelines.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all health-related procedures follow local, state, and federal regulations, and maintain accurate records of services provided.
- Inventory Management: Oversee the management of health supplies and equipment, ensuring health rooms are stocked and prepared for daily operations.

Education/Experience:
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Previous experience in school health services, healthcare administration, or a similar setting is preferred.
- Experience managing or supervising health staff, including scheduling, training, and supporting a team, is highly desirable.
- Experience working with school-aged children in a healthcare setting is a plus.
Physical Demands:
