Assistant Maintenance Supervisor

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the management of the onsite maintenance team
- Working closely with Maintenance Supervisor, Property Manager, and on-site management team
- Providing leadership and guidance to foster a productive team environment and achieve property maintenance goals
- Providing effective training to new maintenance staff members
- Delivering professional, quality services to residents and responding to service requests in a timely manner
- Adhering to all applicable codes/standards and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
- Providing effective maintenance management throughout all areas of the property
- Assisting with managing inventory, ordering and delivery of approved supplies and equipment
- Performing various community maintenance services relating to plumbing repair, appliance repair, minor electrical repairs, HVAC troubleshooting and repairs
- Assisting with the management of apartment turnover process for efficient resident move-ins
- Establishing effective relationships with vendors and partners to maximize quality of service to residents and meet budgeting objectives
What We’re Looking for in a Candidate:
- Great people skills and a desire to provide residents an exceptional residential experience through superior in-person service and quality maintenance management
- Thoughtful leadership skills to foster a supportive and productive onsite team environment
- A minimum of 1 year of leadership experience as an Assistant Maintenance Supervisor or in a team environment
- A strong working knowledge of all aspects of multi-family property maintenance
- Experience with working in various digital platforms including Microsoft Office Suite and various industry-related software platforms.
- Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
- Ability to maintain a “can do” attitude to ensure the property’s success
- Willingness to work weekends/holidays in an emergency situation
- Successful completion of required background and drug screening prior to start of employment
