Summary of Job Description:
The Executive Director, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for the company's strategic planning, investment reporting, and transparency initiatives.This position works with CFT leadership to generate strategic and operational insights as the basis for decision-making, financial improvement opportunities, and enhancement of the business.The Executive Director leads the FP&A team, coaching and developing management and professional associates, elevating associate performance to support the organization's strategic planning and growth.
You'll get a chance to:
- Lead the company's financial planning processes by taking a forward-looking perspective and ensuring alignment with the family office's investment goals.
- Oversee all financial analysis related to improving the company's financial performance. Develop forward-looking financial insights and performance metrics to support data-driven decision-making by the CFT Leadership Team.
- Integrate financial reporting and support across CFT, providing effective flow of communication related to financial planning across the organization.
- Lead review and analysis of current portfolio against external benchmarks and organizational procedures to identify enhancement areas and initiatives for operational improvement and effectiveness.
- Identify improvement plans and creates alignment for implementation and monitoring with CFT leadership.
- Responsible for strategic planning and being responsive to changing needs and to the organization's evolution and growth.
- Provide financial modeling and analysis to CFT leaders and Founders to support their decision making related to achieving the organization's growth goals and targets.
- Oversee the team's preparation of current and long-term strategic planning, financial forecasts and reporting in support of CFT Leadership Team's decision making.
- Lead the development and future enhancement of the organization's integrated financial reporting practice, including the sourcing and implementation of a financial software platform within CFT.
- Lead and support the ongoing sourcing and evaluation of new financial technologies that could improve CFT's investment processes and transparency.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful rollout of new technologies and processes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of FP&A functions.
- Lead or participate in the formulation and planning of strategic business initiatives.
- Address discrete business problems and challenges and thought processes when appropriate.
- Develop internal reporting processes to provide real-time, actionable insights into portfolio performance, including cash flow analysis, investment returns, and risk metrics.
- Lead development of dashboards and other visualization tools that provide transparency into portfolio performance and department KPIs.
- Lead FP&A by managing, coaching, and developing associates, including managers and professionals.
- Responsible for hiring and retaining staff and developing and elevating associate performance to support the organization's strategic planning and growth.
- Build a strong talent pipeline by identifying and mentoring high-potential associates within the team and creates a collaborative and inclusive team environment that fosters innovation and accountability.
- Identify opportunities to optimize department workflows, reduce manual processes, and improve accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the FP&A function by implementing best practices and promoting operational excellence.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving collaboration between FP&A and other departments, including investment, accounting, and asset management teams.

Your background and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- MBA or CPA preferred
- Minimum twelve to fifteen years of finance experience in a family office or other comparable organization, with increasing management responsibility,
- Successful completion of initial and periodically required trainings.
- Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.
Pay Range: M5: $205,000 - $288,000 / Annual
* Within the range, individual pay is determined using various factors, including work location and experience.

While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods of time. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use Chinese cook knife and other kitchen equipment and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours and reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high; storage space is limited and shelving is high. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have effective verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and the ability to manage conflicts/difficult situations.
