Summary of Job Description :
The Business System and Data Specialist is an integral member of the strategy team in the Restaurant Development (RD) department, supporting business systems and data users with high-quality information and data. This position supports all functions within RD with system and data-related activities. The position also supports liaising with project management system vendors or IS, FAST, and SCM for system and data-related matters. This position will work with various RD teams, supporting system enhancement and data management.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain business reports to effectively communicate project status, program performance, or performance management for the restaurant development team (Construction, Development, Facilities, International / Licensee, etc.).
- Responsible for ad-hoc reporting or data inquiries from stakeholders including updating reports, automating and scheduling reports, reducing manual effort involved with reporting, and ensuring data accuracy and consistent reporting in Power BI, on business platforms or Excel.
- Identify and analyze project data accuracy issues, business system issues (Tango, SmartSheet, Service Channel, etc.), and provides recommendations to resolve recurring system or data issues.
- Engage in ad hoc projects for business system implementation and user feature enhancement that pertains to restaurant development management, and supports managing project management platforms and tools.
- Develop and implement project data management strategies that optimize efficiency and data quality, and works directly with vendors or other departments to improve data governance.
- Support implementing or improving business processes, including creating flowcharts and diagrams of processes and creating and maintaining standard operating procedures and guidelines for business systems.

While performing duties, counter areas are often hot with steam from steam table and food vapors. Workspace is restricted and employees are generally expected to remain standing for long periods of time. Employees must prepare hot and cold foods, use Chinese cook knife and other kitchen equipment and work quickly without losing accuracy. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., stand up to four hours and reach across counter tops measured at 36 inches to serve customers. Kitchens are hot and noise levels are usually high; storage space is limited and shelving is high. Employees must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment, have effective verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to a dynamic environment with changing priorities, and the ability to manage conflicts / difficult situations.
