SHIPPING AND RECEIVING COORDINATOR
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain a high standard of safety, teamwork, workmanship and housekeeping.
· Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communication in a manner that gets along with co-workers, customers and supervision.
· Must be able to move or lift products and material of varied sizes and weights, sometime in excess of 1000 pounds, being able to move and lift by hand where appropriate and being able to operate lifting machinery where appropriate.
· Prepares items for shipment to be sent on the exit factory date.
· Measures and builds shipping skids (pallets) to size using a variety of tools, including, but not limited to: radio arm saws, hand saws, hammer, pneumatic nailers, staplers, tape measures.
· Uses established procedures to deliver material or parts to various departments.
· Reviews shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records to fulfill shipping orders in the priority needed.
· Determines and performs work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
· Applies knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures, routes and rates to efficiently fulfill shipping orders.
· Coordinates all shipping and receiving activities involving computerized and manual procedures with all affected departments.
· Partners with the shop production team and QA throughout the production and shipping process to effectively and accurately fulfill customer orders as scheduled, exceeding customer expectations whenever possible.
· Assist in other areas of the shop and warehouse when needed.
· Assist in expediting shop production and perform as directed by shop supervision.
· Perform duties as needed and as directed by Shop supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Computer and keyboarding proficiency.
· Some experience with operating power tools and hand tools.
· Must possess strong multi-tasking, prioritizing, planning and organization skills.
· Must possess strong accuracy and attention-to-detail.
· Must be able to thrive in a high volume, fast paced work environment.
· Must be trainable, willing to learn new skills and be willing to cross-train to different areas.
· Must be interested in a long-term career and following a career path.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· 2-5 years of experience in any of the following areas: warehouse, shipping, receiving, inventory, logistics and/or supply chain management.
· Experience working in a shipping/receiving/warehouse/inventory/logistics/supply chain management capacity within a manufacturing environment.
· Some knowledge and experience within the following areas: LTL class identification, HS and HTS code identification, freight terminology,
· Experience with inspecting, packing, shipping and receiving heavy industrial equipment and parts.
· Strong experience and proficiency with the following systems: Encompix, Microsoft Excel.

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM CST.
Salary Information: $15.00 - $23.00 per hour plus Bonus and 401k Match
