Position Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and taxes.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records in the payroll system.
- Process new hires, terminations, and employee changes.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings (federal, state, and local).
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve discrepancies.
- Generate payroll reports and maintain accurate records.
- Stay up-to-date on payroll laws and regulations.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation.
- Assist with audits related to payroll.
- Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information.
To be a good fit for this opportunity, you will have:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing.
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, especially Excel.
