Senior Joint Venture Accountant

As a Senior Joint Venture Accountant, you'll be a key player in our dynamic and rapidly growing organization. With significant expansion on the horizon, your expertise in business combinations and accounting standards will be vital to driving our financial success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the accounting and financial reporting for complex business combinations and acquisitions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and relevant accounting standards
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operational departments, to gather necessary data and documents for financial analysis
- Perform detailed financial due diligence, including identifying and quantifying fair value of acquired assets and liabilities
- Prepare and review purchase accounting entries, valuation models, and related documentation
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures related to business combinations
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to internal and external stakeholders
- Support the external audit process related to business combinations and assist with regulatory filings, as necessary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; master’s degree is a plus
- Active CPA certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, business combinations, or transaction services
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting standards related to business combinations (ASC 805)
- Exceptional an alytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
