Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Are you a results-driven problem-solver with a passion for ensuring the reliability and scalability of critical systems? Join our client's TechOps team as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, where you'll play a key role in building resilient infrastructure and enabling development teams to deliver with confidence.
What You'll Do:
- Ensure the reliability and performance of our products and integrated tools.
- Resolve escalated issues and automate long-term fixes.
- Identify and address technical debt.
- Collaborate with development, database, support, and implementation teams.
- Automate infrastructure and code deployments.
- Maintain our continuous delivery pipeline.
- Manage core infrastructure (load balancers, firewalls, etc.).
- Improve development, testing, deployment, and monitoring processes.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning.
- Mentor teammates and share expertise.
- Join the on-call rotation.
- Troubleshoot system issues with development teams.
What You Bring:
- 5 years in a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
- Strong experience with automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef).
- Scripting skills in Python, Ruby, or Bash.
- Solid understanding of Git and CI/CD tools.
- Strong grasp of Linux, networking, and internet technologies.
- Experience with containers and orchestration.
- Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiarity with internet protocols and cloud/virtualization tech (AWS, VMware).
Bonus Points For:
- Knowledge of monitoring tools.
- Experience with ticketing tools.
- Knowledge of databases.
- Development background in relevant languages.
- Familiarity with event-driven tools
