Responsibilities:
Tax Planning and Compliance:
- Oversee and execute strategic tax planning initiatives for high-net-worth clients
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Collaborate with Investment Team to integrate tax strategies into overall wealth management plans
Client Interaction:
- Act as a key liaison between clients and the investment, trust, and tax groups
- Provide expert advice on tax-related matters, building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Address client inquiries and concerns, offering solutions aligned with their financial goals
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of tax filings and related documentation
- Coordinate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance client service delivery
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify tax planning opportunities and potential risks
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations, adapting strategies accordingly
Documentation and Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Generate comprehensive reports for clients and internal stakeholders, highlighting key tax-related insights
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred
- Proven experience as a Tax Manager in public or corporate accounting
- Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance issues relevant to high-net-worth individuals and families
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Client-focused approach with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts in an understandable manner
- Detail-oriented, with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with multi-family office structures and dynamics is a plus
