Communities and small businesses are our clients. We support communities by securing federal/state infrastructure grants for them and we support small businesses by providing access to capital through our loan programs. Our loan programs include SBA 504 loans and Revolving Loan Fund loans.
We value the economic contributions small businesses and entrepreneurs bring to Idaho. Idaho businesses are expanding, their need for capital is increasing and PAC has money to lend. We are looking for a Commercial Loan Assistant who can support our lending team in the areas of loan origination, loan packaging, underwriting, closing, and servicing.

Job Summary
The Commercial Loan Assistant provides support to the Loan Team by coordinating and completing tasks related to the intake, review, consolidation, and entry of documentation and information used in the preparation, analysis, underwriting, closing, and servicing of commercial loans. This position will follow established guidelines and procedures to meet internal policy, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Job Functions
The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- In coordination with the Loan Team: orders, obtains, reviews, and records required, due diligence items from Loan Officers, internal departments, customers, and/or third-party vendors.
- Prepares and compiles documentation as required.
- Reviews packages for completion, accuracy, and compliance. Performs job responsibilities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinates corrections and other actions to mitigate risks related to the integrity of data by ensuring all areas of underwriting packages are accurate and retained appropriately.
- Transfers all credit and due diligence documents to the imaging system.
- Inputs loan data into the software utilized by the company for submission to SBA.
- Provides support and backup coverage to other loan support staff as needed.
- Ensures compliance to applicable regulations and keeps up to date with changes in federal regulations and internal credit policies and procedures.

Minimum Education &/or Experience
High School diploma or equivalent. Four plus (4 ) years’ of prior financing/lending/banking experience preferred. Basic understanding of credit products, documentation terminology, vendor documents and searches, and document preparation. Exhibits solid knowledge of or a strong desire to learn applicable local, state and federal regulations, loan policies and procedures, and has the ability to meet deadlines under pressure while correctly preparing documents.
Other Skills & Abilities
Advanced personal computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft EXCEL, WORD, and e-mail, experience with SBA 504 Software Ventures is desirable, as is an ability to acclimate quickly to other programs; self-starter and works with minimal direction; strong verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills and team orientation; ability to prioritize work and remain adaptable under pressure to meet deadlines; ability to appropriately escalate issues requiring problem solving and decision making.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, correspondence, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present verbal and written information when responding to questions from managers, peers, or other business partners.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Demonstrates critical thinking tendencies to address problems decisively and to propose sustainable solutions. Accepts shared ownership and accountability for results.
Physical Requirements:
This position is sedentary and requires the following physical activities:
- Sitting for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing and visual acuity.
- Frequent lifting (up to 25 pounds of paper supplies or minor office equipment).
