The Position:
As a Referral Coordinator at Panorama Eyecare, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to deliver the best eyecare. The Role
The Referral Coordinator will contribute to the fulfillment of the Panorama Eyecare’s mission statement by acting as a liaison between referring providers and Panorama Eyecare physicians. They handle intake of referred patients, ensuring appropriate notes have been sent to referring doctors, and returning patients to the care of their referring doctors. They are able to work independently, as part of a team with little supervision, and are upbeat and positive.
- Schedules and uploads all incoming referrals, completing referral intake forms.
- Referral liaison for all referring OD’s overseeing the flow of information both in from referring sources as well as out.
- Obtains and retains knowledge of insurance company participation and requirements including when an authorization is needed, or when a referral is needed.
- Registers patients correctly in computer, providing consistency for patient listing and billing information-including name, DOB, address, phone number, email address, insurance with no errors.
- Assists in increasing scheduling pace to match the number of referrals received daily.
- Follows up with any patients that were not scheduled at the time of referral – particular emphasis on urgent diagnosis codes – diabetes, glaucoma, corneal diagnosis.
- Attends OD education events to maintain visibility to OD’s as referral coordinator.
- Oversees the referrals of Medicaid patients – scheduling of Medicaid referrals to our office, as well as referring out to other Medicaid providers.
- Promptly returns patient/doctor phone calls.
- Maintains the goal of providing the highest level of customer service to patients and referring doctors.

Requirements
Who You Are
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting.
- Word processing/computer scheduling experience.
- Knowledge of typical office work environment.
- Extensive customer service experience.

- Works at our clinic location, Prospect, 1725 E. Prospect Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80525
- This is a Full-Time Position.
- Compensation for this role will be $18 - $19 an hour based on experience/certification.
