A/R Specialist is responsible for providing daily support to the financial related services in billing, collections, and receivables in a medical setting for our patients of Panoramic Health. In this position, the A/R Specialist will work with a team on accounts receivable and billing practices, while keeping the billing department up to speed on reconciliations, accounts receivable, and outstanding balances.
Responsibilities include:
Tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues and generating weekly aging reports in a timely manner.
Conduct account research and analysis.
Prepare and maintain various reports.
Maintain an accurate aging report.
Identify and execute the necessary process adjustments.
Send statements to outstanding customers.
Reconcile A/R.
Interact with customers to resolve outstanding issues.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
Qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting or related field.
3 years of experience in billing, collections, and receivables in a medical setting.
Experience with Medicare, TriCare, and Commercial Insurance.
Broad understanding of clinical operations, front office, insurance, and authorizations.
Familiar with medical terminology such as ICD, HCPCS and CPT codes.
Advanced computer skills in MS Office Suite, Athena Collector, Athena Clinicals preferred.
Discloses protected health information in accordance with HIPAA standards.
