Florida Kidney Physicians is hiring 2 Per-Diem Pre/Post OP PACU Nurses.
The Nurse is responsible for providing a supportive role to medical professionals to administer patient care. Duties include taking a patient’s vital signs, including heart rate or blood pressure, assisting Physicians throughout examinations by recording a patient’s health information and administering vaccinations or taking blood samples as instructed by Physicians.
Responsibilities include:
Providing care for patients.
Taking and monitoring patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
Providing comfort to patients through care, including keeping them warm, bathing, and dressing.
Changing bandages, inserting catheters, and giving injections.
Preparing patients for treatment and surgery.
Drawing blood.
Discussing health care concerns and issues.
Reporting vital signs and condition updates to doctors and registered nurses.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.
Qualifications:
Degree in nursing.
Completed an accredited training program of at least 1 year.
Passed a National Council Licensure Examination.
Possess the proper licenses to work legally in a particular state.
Experience working in different clinical settings and handling many different types of medical needs.
Experience in helping patients, managing co-workers, relaying information to physicians and patients and performing various tasks as needed.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
An understanding of confidentiality issues.
