You will be part of the IT Operations team supporting a national security mission to maintain the safety, security, and effectiveness of the United States nuclear weapons stockpile. The Data Center Facility Manager will report directly to the Data Center Manager.
Employee Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all facility needs in facilities which support information technology systems
- Responsible for monitoring electrical systems such as utility, generator, UPS and power distribution in production data center and telecom buildings
- Responsible for monitoring mechanical systems such as Computer Room Air Conditioners, chilled water systems, etc.
- Responsible for coordinating with plant facilities teams when issues arise with the facility
- Responsible for maintaining technical drawings of the IT facilities using tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, or Lucid Chart
- Works with teams and tools to document network, power and other infrastructure that supports Information Systems
- Responsible for monitoring fire suppression systems - water and gaseous and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed
- Responsible for supporting building office space co-located with data centers in the same facility
- Ensures preventative maintenance for building systems including electrical, mechanical, and fire suppression is performed
- Works closely with IT leadership and other teams to assure facilities functions, upgrades, etc. to support plant needs for critical IT systems
- Works with building management systems, monitoring and alerting systems
- Manager ensures detailed documentation, one lines, etc. to support daily support of building systems
- Work closely with craft labor management, planning and scheduling to ensure that necessary maintenance is performed
- Assesses procedural requirements across a broad range of stakeholder organizations, including Engineering, Infrastructure, Production, Quality, and Safety
- Assists other IT Operations organizations by providing facility drawings of electrical or data systems inside the facility

- Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
- OR Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- OR PhD
- ORTwelve or more years of relevant education, training and/or progressive expreience may be considered to satisfy educational and years of experience for this posting.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Minimum 6 years of relevant IT experience
- Minimum 3 years work experience with building/facilities management
- Work experience with DOE and/or NNSA Orders and practices is preferred
- Work experience with Data Center critical power and cooling
- Work experience or knowledge of telecommunication cabling
- Experience with AutoCAD and Visio or Lucid Chart
