As a Solution Architect specializing in OT (Operational Technology), you will be responsible for facilitating and participating in programs supporting architecture governance, guidelines, and strategy across our operational technology and similar network(s). Architects work in partnership with business units to align the business unit goals to ensure IT is able to deliver, identify maturity gaps, and bring communication recommendations to IT and the business unit to ensure company and mission goals are met. Solution Architects may be responsible for leading multiple complex and high-priority projects while working closely with the engineering and project management teams to scope, estimate, and provide overall technical guidance for assigned solutions/opportunities. Analyzing existing systems and processes to communicate improvement opportunities, along with the change management needed to implement is paramount. Must be able to provide detailed documentation for implemented solutions and necessary knowledge base articles to allow for both operational and ongoing support.

- Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- OR Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline: 12 years of relevant experience
- OR Master's degree in engineering/science/information technology discipline: 10 years of relevant experience
- 3 years of experience with Enterprise platforms and services
- 3 years of experience with TOGAF, Zachman, or other Solution Architecture frameworks
- 3 years of experience in an architecture role
- Strong background in Operational Technology and cyber security with an OT emphasis is preferred.
Specific areas of expertise may include but not be limited to:
- SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems
- ICS (Industrial Control Systems), HMI (Human Machine Interface), PLC (programmable Logic Controller), and PACs (Programmable Automation Controller)
- Factory line operated sensors, HMIs, and PLCs
- The Purdue Model for ICS systems
- Strategic ICS/OT security
- Working with major ICS/OT vendors like Emerson, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation/Allen Bradley, National Instruments, GE, Mitsubishi Electric, and Siemens
The candidate must also have the ability to present technical and operational information clearly and effectively through the oral and written word, solve complex technical problems, and be alert to changes that may affect the security and operational environment of systems.
