Position Overview
The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) will be responsible for overseeing the security of our information systems and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
- Support the N16 CIO with RMF and ATO support; support to BUPERS 07. Build and lead team to support the customer.
- Clean up existing packages and develop new ones.
- Develop and oversee operational information systems security implementation policy and guidelines of network security, based upon the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies and advise customer on Risk Management Framework (RMF) assessment and authorization issues.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations and industry standards.
- Evaluate threats and vulnerabilities to ascertain whether additional safeguards are needed. Oversee incident response and manage security incidents.
- Provide technical direction to personnel performing IT systems analyses and IT system development tasks.
- Assess changes in the system, its environment, and operational needs that could affect the authorization
- Monitor security systems and networks for potential threats.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive security coverage.
- Ensure that authorization is accomplished a valid Authorization determination has been given for all authorization boundaries under your purview.
- Develop policies and procedures for responding to security incidents, to include investigating and reporting security violations and incidents.
- Ensure proper protection or corrective measures have been taken when an incident or vulnerability has been discovered within a system.
- Coordinate and performs logical and physical systems designs for network and storage.
- Review and prepares system documents or specifications.
- Responsible for ensuring a stable and usable system through the integration of various software and hardware platforms and components.
- Establish and maintain development and testing environments and the configuration management process and structures.
Required Skills and Experience
Clearance Requirements
U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Work Location : United States - Hybrid - Millington Data Center in Tennessee.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $145,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
