Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Release Manager to support Salesforce projects within a federal government environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in release management, working closely with Scrum teams, and scheduling releases. This role involves coordinating and managing the release process to ensure timely and successful deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Release Management: Oversee the full release management lifecycle, including scheduling, coordinating, and managing releases on the Salesforce platform.
  • Scrum Team Collaboration: Work closely with Scrum teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution of release activities.
  • Government Environment: Apply knowledge of federal government regulations and standards to ensure compliance in all release activities.
  • Change Management: Manage changesets and other change management processes to ensure seamless deployments.
  • Integration Management: Coordinate with various teams to manage integrations and dependencies between Salesforce and other systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive release documentation, including deployment plans, run books, and release notes.
  • Communication: Communicate release details and schedules to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance release management.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in release management, with specific experience in Salesforce implementations.
  • Government Experience: Proven experience in managing releases within a federal government environment.
  • Certifications: Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Salesforce administration, DevOps, and release management tools such as Copado or equivalent tools.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Advanced Certifications: Additional Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator or Salesforce Certified Platform Developer.
  • Project Management: Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
  • Integration Experience: Experience with Jenkins CI, Selenium, and other integration tools.
  • Government Experience: Secret or higher-level clearance.

Clearance Requirements

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Work Location: Charlotte, NC - Remote

  • If this position is assigned to a Pantheon Data office location or client site, you'll work with colleagues and clients in person, as needed for specific client requirements.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $132,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
