Excavator Operator
Position Purpose :
Complying with federal and state regulations and company safety standards while efficiently operating multiple pieces of heavy machinery on the mining operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates equipment by moving levers, or steering-wheel and depressing pedals or operating other controls to stop, start, maintain proper speed, direction and complete task as required.
- Examines and performs fueling and routine servicing, which includes perform per-operational checks of equipment that include : walk around visual inspection, check fluid levels, safety equipment, tires, steering, brakes, etc.
- Mounts and dismounts equipment by climbing or descending the boarding ladder or steps.
- Assist mechanic with repairs and maintenance.
- Clean equipment as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
