What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Plant Technician position at Panther Creek Mining?
PREP PLANT TECHNICIAN
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs all duties and activities in a manner that conforms to site specific safety requirements, company policy, state and federal regulations.
- Plant start-up and operations.
- Monitor plant controls while in operation.
- Make plant adjustments (tons per hour, gravity, temperature, etc.).
- Plant shutdown.
Other Duties/Responsibilities:
- General clean-up.
- Mechanic helper on plant repairs.
- Perform other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must have overall knowledge of coal preparation process.
- Must have working knowledge of plant circuits that are involved in preparation.
- Familiar with running and safety controls
- Know the Safe Job Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, company safety policies, and applicable rules and regulations.
Working Environment:
- The operator must constantly be attentive to the changing geological conditions and surrounding environment.
Education, Qualifications and Training:
- Annual 8 hour retraining
- On-the-job experience
- Vocational training (optional)
- Other qualifications as required by the company
