Purpose:
The Manager, RxARECARE Operations manages overall operations and management of the RxARECARE teams that support limited distribution programs and services at PANTHERx Specialty Pharmacy, including prescription processing, reimbursement, patient outreach, and program oversight. This role leads and develops staff to support operational goals as well as to ensure that all performance expectations for internal and external partners are met. The RxARECARE Manager provides oversight of all associated operational processes and procedures related to the patient services for the portfolio of rare and orphan products that PANTHERx Specialty Pharmacy dispenses.
Responsibilities:
- Manages and oversees the operations associated with RxARECARE teams and programs implemented to support the portfolio of limited distribution products.
- Takes accountability for front end operations including intake, processing, reimbursement, patient, and prescriber outreach across RxARECARE teams for initial and subsequent prescription fills.
- Trains, develops, and manages the RxARECARE teams and colleagues supporting the portfolio of rare and orphan diseases.
- Supervises clinical staff as well as ensuring that clinicians are making appropriate clinical decisions and providing superior patient care for rare and orphan products include enhanced clinical services and adverse event management.
- Coordinates the processes and overall compliance of REMS programs.
- Establishes and manages performance goals for all staff in report to structure including performing annual performance reviews.
- Identifies training needs for all staff in report to structure and work with corresponding department heads to roll out training plan for new hires with associated required annual competencies.
- Coordinates and facilitates team meetings with a documented focus of reaching established department goals including goals of specific RxARECARE teams and implemented programs.
- Continually assesses, designs, and manages workflow for RxARECARE operations and established limited distribution programs.
- Maintain and report on RxARECARE operations and key performance measures including measurement tools where needed.
- Partners and participates with internal implementation team regarding the launch of new products and services that will be managed within a RareCare team.
- Partners with the internal teams on the development of enhanced clinical programs and services as requested by manufacturer partners.
- Partners with internal team responsible for prescription fulfillment to appropriately manage pharmacy inventory and logistics for limited distribution products.
- Partners with Program Managers for limited distribution portfolio to quickly prioritize, solution and implement feedback from manufacturer partners.
- Partners with Strategic Partnerships department and Program Manager for ongoing management and enhancement to existing programs and services.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- PharmD or RPh.
- Previous Specialty Pharmacy experience includes developing, supporting, and managing patient care services for rare and orphan disease states.
- High level of independent judgment, individual initiative, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated success with partnering and collaboration with internal and external partners/stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of pharmacy operations experience.
- Possess strong leadership skills and be interested in growth and development.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
