Position Overview:
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with company standards and client expectations. Serving as the primary point of contact between clients, field teams, and stakeholders, the Project Manager drives e anciency, quality, and safety throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires strong leadership, strategic problem-solving, and the ability to foster a collaborative and results-driven team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Client & Stakeholder Communication
o Serve as the primary point of contact for project owners, assessing scope, resources, and project requirements.
o Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate seamless project execution.
Project Planning & Execution
o Establish project objectives, policies, and procedures in line with company guidelines, including startup meetings, progress tracking, and closeout requirements.
o Lead project startup e orts, ensuring all necessary documentation, permits and plans are in place.
Procurement & Scheduling
o Oversee subcontractor buyout, develop and manage submittal schedules, material tracking, project timelines, and milestone reports.
o Ensure timely procurement of materials and adherence to delivery schedules.
Budget & Cost Management
o Develop and manage project budgets, cost codes, and payment requisitions.
o Monitor financial performance, track expenditures, and provide cost control oversight.
o E Evaluate contractor payment applications and ensure accuracy in cost reporting.
Contract & Risk Management
o Review and scope contract documents before awarding subcontracts and purchase orders.
o Generate and process change orders, subcontract amendments, and notifications of potential claims.
o Identify and mitigate risks, implementing corrective actions as needed.
o Scope all contract documents prior to award of all subcontracts and purchase orders
o Coordinate with Contractor Administrator on progress of subcontracts, insurances, change orders, proposals, etc. for all logs.
Construction Oversight & Quality Control
o Direct and monitor on-site construction e orts to ensure compliance with design, schedule, and budget.
o Work closely with the Project Superintendent to oversee field activities, enforce safety standards, and drive quality assurance.
o Provide technical support, interpret drawings, and recommend construction methodologies and equipment solutions.
Project Solving & Leadership
o Investigate critical issues, troubleshoot project challenges, and implement corrective actions.
o Foster a collaborative, solution-oriented team culture, ensuring alignment with company values and objectives.
o Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
Proven experience managing commercial or industrial construction projects from inception to completion.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in construction management software and scheduling tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project)
Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities with internal and external stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, building codes, safety regulations, and best practices.
