Fairhaven Shipyard Companies, Inc. is seeking qualified and experienced Marine Diesel Mechanics with Cummins, CAT, and/or other related diesel experience for our sales and service facility in New Bedford, MA. Fairhaven Shipyard Companies, Inc. is an authorized dealer and service provider for various marine engine manufacturers, including Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, and Northern Lights.
Experience requirements: ideal candidates will meet or exceed the following criteria:
· Experienced diesel mechanic, and
· Caterpillar, Cummins, and/or MTU product experience
· Experience with multiple marine engine manufacturers is a plus
Other minimum requirements:
· Valid driver license and safe driving record for driving company service vehicle
· The ability to work independently, and work with/take direction from others.
· The ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance
· The ability to work with multiple employees and projects
· The ability to use relevant computer programs/software
· The ability to conform to Fairhaven Shipyard Companies, Inc. policies
· Provide and maintain tools appropriate for the position
· Meet U.S. Government employment eligibility verification requirements
· The ability to physically perform the duties of a Marine Diesel Mechanic
