About Emerald Strategy Group
Emerald Strategy Group is a multidisciplinary advisory firm operating at the intersection of infrastructure, industry, and energy. We serve global hyperscale data center operators, infrastructure investors, and Fortune 500 clients with end-to-end execution — from strategy to technical delivery.
We are looking for a Project Engineer with a strong engineering foundation and 5 years of experience delivering and supporting infrastructure or industrial projects. This role is hands-on and client-facing — you’ll contribute to everything from strategic analysis to on-site assessments, helping the entire Emerald Group deliver results, not just reports.
What You’ll Do
- Support engineering advisory work across power infrastructure, mission-critical systems, and large-scale data center development.
- Interface with strategic advisory teams to bring technical rigor to M&A, market entry, and operational improvement engagements.
- Conduct and support site visits, engineering reviews, and project execution planning, especially in utility-scale power environments.
- Analyze project plans, system designs, and vendor deliverables — and flag risks, gaps, or opportunities.
- Contribute to financial and technical modeling, with a focus on power capacity planning, cost benchmarking, and performance optimization.
- Develop client-ready content including briefing decks, strategy papers, and technical reports.
- Operate cross-functionally across Emerald’s three businesses: Strategy Partners, Capital Partners, and our Infrastructure Project Execution team.
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of experience in engineering, infrastructure delivery, or power systems projects.
- Degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or systems engineering (or related field).
- Exposure to or experience within data center, grid, or large infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of engineering process, project lifecycles, and system integration.
- Familiarity with utility coordination, interconnection, and EPC contractor collaboration is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills required; power system modeling and/or project finance modeling a plus.
- Client-facing maturity — able to engage with senior stakeholders and represent Emerald with confidence.
- Self-directed, articulate, and excited to contribute in both technical and strategic capacities.
Why This Role is Different
- You won’t just sit in the engine room — you’ll be part of the bridge crew helping steer projects from concept to execution.
- You'll learn from ex-GE, Alstom, and global industrial execs, and grow your skills fast.
- Work with elite global clients on projects that define the future of digital infrastructure.
- Competitive pay, high trust, global exposure, and the opportunity to grow into a leadership role.
What We Offer
- Competitive Salary and full health benefits
- 401k contributions
- A positive and fast paced work environment
- Rapid growth opportunities in a fast paced industry
