Ruby on Rails Developer
Hybrid (downtown Manhattan, NY)
12 Months Contract
Our client is seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer for a contract role based in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will bring 5–10 years of hands-on experience in Ruby programming, the Rails framework, and working with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) within a Test-Driven Development (TDD) environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to innovative projects.
Job Description:
•Work with onshore business teams to develop software new applications and enhancements.
•Unit test the solution and document the implemented design, procedures and manuals for the final software solution.
•Resolve production support issues and coordinate release of new applications and enhancements.
Required Skills:
•Ruby object-oriented programming
•Ruby on Rails
•SQL databases (Postgres, Oracle)
•Git/Gitlab, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes
•RSpec framework
•Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Skills:
•RESTful API development, service-oriented design, microservices, Pub/Sub (messaging)
