Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Mastery in the operation of SUE utility locating and designating equipment in complex utility infrastructure environments to accurately map all utilities within the project area
Complete detailed accurate daily reports, forms and field sketches, both electronically as well as draft by hand
Supervise daily SUE Field crew activities and train other crew members
Assist and coordinator with project managers in preliminary work to prepare crews for field assignment
Represent and communicate on behalf of us with client, sub-contractors, and third parties during field activities
Effective maintenance, cleaning, and operation of vehicles, equipment, tools and supplies
Facilitate Daily Tailgate Safety Meetings
Perform Daily Job Hazard Analysis with crew members
Drive commercial motor vehicles, however a CDL license is not required
Supervisor and direct safety set-up for proper maintenance of traffic signage
Complete monthly equipment inventory for the purpose of reorder
Qualifications:
Ability to supervise and train others to include SUE Tech I, II and III roles when required
Minimum 2 year experience as a SUE Tech III or 4 years in the successful application of geophysical equipment in utility locating such as for a contract utility locating firm or a major utility company of which at least one year was in a supervisory or management position
Must be able to read maps and transcribe technical information from them
Familiar with Air/Vacuum Excavation Equipment
Preferred MicroStation, AutoCAD knowledge
Ability to perform physical movements and tractions, commensurate with operating heavy tools and equipment
Valid driver's license with good driving record
Ability to secure client-required identity verification, such as TWIC and SWAC
Ability to pass a pre-employment physical (U.S. only)
Ability to obtain a DOT medical card for CMV operation (U.S. only)
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical movements necessary to operate heavy tools and equipment
Ability to work outdoors in all climates
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, by company vehicle or commercial airline, up to 2 week continuous stay.
OSHA Safety certifications are a plus
