Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Interact with diverse populations.
- Enforce the state and local laws/ordinances
- Deal with dangerous situations and people.
- Conduct investigations.
- Establish and maintain a law enforcement presence at a given location.
Pay
Pay for non-certified applicants is competitive, starting at $24.50/hr for new patrol officers (additional consideration for previously certified applicants). Non-certified applicants will receive paid academy/field training upon hire. Future opportunities for advancement include multiple levels of supervisory positions, as well as specialized assignments/roles within the department.
Additional pay considerations available DOQ (Including but not limited to: college degree, military experience, bilingual, etc.)
