Position Title: Assistant Store Director

Objective: To support the Store Director in managing store operations, ensuring high-quality customer service, efficient store management, and contributing to a positive and dynamic work environment.

Reports to: Store Director

Who You Are:

  • Possess demonstrated leadership abilities in a retail or grocery environment, with a strong focus on enhancing operational efficiency and customer service excellence.
  • Flexible and adaptive, able to respond effectively to the dynamic needs of the store and committed to fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in managing perishable goods, inventory control, and ensuring product quality.
  • Skilled in multitasking under pressure, maintaining high standards in fast-paced settings.
  • At least 21 years old, physically able to meet the demands of a retail store while displaying a level of professional maturity

  • Assist in modeling and delivering exceptional customer service, upholding the values and mission of Papa Joe's Markets.
  • Support in hiring, training, and developing a motivated and skilled team, valuing inclusivity and respect.
  • Assist in driving store operations to meet financial and operational objectives.
  • Help maintain high standards in store presentation, cleanliness, and product quality.
  • Participate in implementing strategies for store development and customer satisfaction enhancement.
  • Adapt to and manage changes within the retail environment, supporting the Store Director in strategic decision-making.
  • Regularly work alongside the team on the store floor, setting a proactive and hands-on example.
  • Facilitate effective communication across all store levels.
  • Assist in managing potential operational challenges, maintaining efficiency and quality standards.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by direct supervisors or higher-level team leaders.

Your Workplace Requirements:

  • Physical capacity to bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, as well as maneuver carts weighing up to 100 lbs and the ability to stand and walk for significant periods during the workday.
  • Compliance with the company’s dress code and safety protocols.
  • Proficient in using various retail tools and equipment safely and effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $42,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
