Job Summary
A self-sufficient leader is needed to manage and oversee all functions of a Papa John's restaurant, ensuring high-quality products and exceptional customer service are delivered to drive restaurant profitability.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead by example, making quality decisions and instilling pride and accountability in team members.
- Manage operations, executing Company policies, procedures, programs, and systems while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices.
- Develop a system of quality with team members to deliver products that meet Papa John's standards and accurately reflect customers' orders.
- Solicit customer feedback, share it with the team, and use it to improve restaurant operations and build brand loyalty.
- Communicate, train, and promote quality standards to team members using available tools like the Operations Manual and Team Member Handbook.
Key Performance Indicators
- Actively recruit customer-focused team members and maintain adequate staffing levels based on projected sales.
- Orient and train team members to exceed customer expectations, ensure uniform and appearance standards compliance, and establish performance expectations.
- Conduct timely and effective performance reviews, document performance issues, and take appropriate disciplinary action.
- Manage sales goals against budget and prior year, providing prompt and friendly customer service, building check averages through team member training, and seeking additional sales through creative marketing methods.
- Manage profit goals against budget and prior year, controlling controllable costs, and utilizing the PROFIT System to make adjustments as needed.
Requirements
- Two years of successful restaurant management or supervision experience with salary progression.
- Ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and emergencies, and successfully perform the job duties of all positions in the restaurant, including pizza delivery.
- Ability to manage with no supervision and work with phones, computers, fax machines, and copiers.
- Bilingual in certain markets (optional).
Work Environment
The team member will be required to work in various temperatures, in a noisy environment, near moving mechanical parts, with dangerous equipment or sharp tools, and around fumes, odors, dust, or toxic chemicals.
