Position Overview:
We're on the hunt for a Care Professional to join our team in the Big Rapids area. This role involves working one-on-one with an amazing adult female client who has physical needs and a zest for life that’s positively infectious. She loves getting out into the community, exploring new places, and enjoying all that life has to offer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Personal Care: Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Daily Community Engagement: Accompany the client on outings to enjoy various activities in the community. Think of yourself as a fun facilitator with a flair for making every day an adventure.
- Safety First: Maintain a keen sense of environmental safety, ensuring the client's well-being at all times.
- Communication: Be willing to learn ASL (American Sign Language) to communicate effectively with the client.
- Dependability: Show up on time, every time, ready to provide exceptional care and companionship.
- Weekends Too: Availability to work every other weekend is a must. Hey, adventures don’t stop just because it’s the weekend!
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience working with adults with developmental and physical disabilities is a huge plus.
- Patience: Seriously, the patience of an angel is non-negotiable. If you’ve got it, you’re halfway there!
- Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid insurance are required. We need someone who can get to and from work safely and dependably.
- Attitude: A positive, can-do attitude with a love for life and helping others.
