Job Description : Overview :
The Surveyor in Training works directly with a Registered Land Surveyor in the preparation of various survey projects, such as boundary surveys, subdivision plats, construction calculations, topographic and route projects.
Responsibilities :
- Under the direction of a Registered Land Surveyor, provide technical support for assigned projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Complete detailed drawings from field survey data, sketches, plans, specifications, and written or verbal instructions using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Review work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting to the R.P.L.S. for review.
- Prepare drawings and / or copy existing drawings and complete simple calculations with specific instructions.
- Conduct fieldwork upon request.
- Assist with deed research, abstract deeds, create base maps for field crews, process field crew data, and produce final drawings.
- Process acquired field data into a neat and accurate plat of survey and / or Metes and Bounds description.
